Mandeville strongly believes that the most beautiful music is created when musicians play together. Our Violin Ensemble is designed to bring our students together to learn and play like in an Orchestra.
Violin Ensemble is a unique and highly specialized programme that is planned exclusively for students at Mandeville. It provides our students with a comprehensive foundation for securing a wide range of skills, necessary in developing as a complete musician.
We offer 2 types of Violin Ensemble:
- Regular Violin Ensemble
Chamber Music
*For selected students only*Initiated and led by Mr Dang Thanh Trung since 2018, the Chamber Music provides students the opportunity to work intensively and perform chamber music repertoire in small intimate groups such as Piano Trio, String Quartet and a small Chamber Orchestra. Open to Advanced students, the focus of the Chamber Music program is to develop a greater understanding of timbre, texture, balance, interpretation while strengthening students’ collaborative and listening skills.NOTE: The Chamber Music programme is independent of the regular Violin Ensemble. Students selected to attend Chamber Music may also attend the Violin Ensemble as part of their curriculum.
